Sports Development Foundation to provide £40k boost for grassroots sport in York

Grassroots sport in York is about to benefit from a £40,000 giveaway thanks to a city-based charity.

The Sports Development Foundation, of which England rugby union team manager Martin Johnson is the patron, wants teams to come forward and apply for grants of between £500 to £1,500 to help with kit costs, coaching and training equipment.
